a catalyst for radical change

I don't often work with people for a period of 6 months plus, it's usually 12 weeks and they go on their merry way. What I've realised with clients of 6 months or more is this; they are kept accountable and can truly track their progress and improvement.

This is one of my most recent male client reviews. I am beyond proud of this client and I am so grateful to have walked this healing path alongside him.

Life ebbs and flows, life is never linear, as much as we would like it to be.

"Brooke and I have our last session tomorrow after working together for six months. This year has been nothing less than transformative and Brooke has been nothing less than a catalyst for radical change in my life. We met by chance. She had a flat tyre and I offered to help her fix it. She asked me what I do, to which I proudly said, “I am the founder and CEO of an international M&A company”. I asked her what she did, and she said, “I’m a life coach”.

I had been struggling with depression for some time and was interested, so we went for a cup of tea. I told her a bit about myself and within 20 minutes, she said that I should quit my business and live with my mum in the hometown where I grew up. This struck me as impossible and completely preposterous! She had no idea how hard I had worked to get to where I was.

[Fun fact: I am writing this from my mum’s backyard eating breakfast made from vegetables I

grew in her garden, happier than I ever imagined I could be.]

She told me with unwavering confidence that we should work together. Her fees were

expensive, and it required an upfront payment for a minimum 3-month commitment. Over the next couple of weeks, I made dozens of excuses why I shouldn’t commit. “She’s younger than me, she’s unqualified, etc.” At one point I even convinced myself that her sales strategy was to go around to all the co-working spaces pretending to have a flat tyre! But there was something compelling about Brooke and deep down I knew she was right about me having serious trust and commitment issues, which were handicapping many aspects of my wellbeing. So, I took the plunge...

Today, I am more trusting and far less anxious. I don’t feel lost or alone anymore. I don’t feel

misunderstood or like an imposter. I feel comfortable in my own skin. I feel like I know who I

am. I know my values and I don’t betray them anymore. I resist less and accept more. I have

faced fears that I never knew I had. I have had conversations with loved ones that I never

dreamed possible. My career no longer dictates my self-worth. Now, I love what I do, and I do it because I love it. I have a deeper understanding of what makes me truly happy. I know how to care for my physical and mental health. I feel in control of my wellbeing. I am under no illusion that life is an easy run from here, but I do feel better equipped to deal with whatever comes my way. Needless to say, I’m very grateful to have come across Brooke and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to live their best life.

I did think to myself – who does this woman think she is? I found a well-respected coach who

fitted the description of an older bloke with a lot of experience. There was something

compelling about Brooke. But it required commitment. A three-month commitment.

Commitment made my skin crawl. I had been living the life of a digital nomad on the coast of Mexico for the past 18 months. I met with Brooke a couple more times and it became clear that I had major trust issues. I eventually pulled the trigger and wired the funds. Reflecting on this 6 months later, it is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.

I am happy with my life. I am embracing it. It’s so nice to be so close to mom. I live

surrounded by the sound of birds. I am a part of a small community. I am working in a space

that requires speak thinking to show complex important problems. I have a partner who loves and supports me. I have a small group of friends who I share a long and loving

history with. I am home where I grew up. I have easy access to a plethora of outdoor activities, including camping. I am excited to take a month off over Christmas, see my great family, meet my grandpa! Crazy. I feel much more connected to my brothers than I ever have.  My life has transformed."

I wholeheartedly believe the work I do changes lives. I am so passionate about helping those that feel stuck in corporate worlds. I am so passionate about helping people get radically honest with themselves, too many of us live outside of our values and lose our sense of self in the process.
